did you notice any decrease in visibility by going to a higher temperature (K) rated bulb?
what bulb did you get?
I did about 15 min of searches, but nothing great came up about what people have done and are using ... im hoping this thread will become a good search reference to those looking to change/upgrade bulbs in the future while using stock ballasts so please post

but it wasn't necessarily harder to see becuase the "contrast" was higher...this last part was according to the madman himself. IMO, greater than 5000K or so you will notice the decrease in light output.

...the fact of the matter is, stock Osram Xenarc 4,300K bulbs = 3,200 lumens. Philips Ultinon 6,000K = 2,400 lumens.
On white pavement, the blue-purple will enhance the light output though.

...brighter than the Philips Ultinon 6,000K.
It's got a whiter color, not purple like the Ultinon.
Still, you're going to get the most overall light out of the Philips 4,100K.
