Who knew you could completely eliminate understeer with just tire choice! ;-)

I test fitted the wheel and tire I plan to run. I only have one so I tried it in the rear and the front. I have cut the fender back apart to get it more to my liking, so please excuse the "in process" shot. It WILL look a lot better soon!
While of course I'm kidding about understeer, I did drive it around the block to check if it rubs. (same rolling diameter as the stockers) I made a couple hard turns to make the suspension work and even with just ONE big tire, "HELLO SNAP OVERSTEER!!!" I had to steer out of the slide to bring the tail in line! I can't imagine what that rubber at all 4 corners will be like compared to the 215 all-season tires I'm on now.
Pics don't do it justice, the difference in person is shocking. It doesn't even look like the same car.

The TDR wheel is the official wheel for the British Touring Car Championship and is the perfect for a WB car. It's really tight up front, but I can roll those fenders a bit more if I need too. For $5 (that's not a typo!) they did a custom bore on it for me so I don't need hubcentric adapters which is awesome. It's 23 lbs, which isn't bad for a 18x9 and great at the price of $200! They are a little bit of a pain to get as you order and wait, but if anyone wanted a set I've got the email address of the guy you want to talk to.
Can't speak much to the tires other than they look the bomb and have been getting rave reviews over some of the best tires out there. The Vredestein brand is new to the US, but has been around a long time in Europe. They have a really heavy sidewall to deal with performance sedans and that one corner seemed to be hooking to a scary level. You could honestly feel the car pivot around that point! Need to get 3 more of those bad boys... :-)

it would really speed things up! I was going to at least primer the car and get it uniform and ready for paint... but I can't aford primer! I spent into a bit of a hole and I'll need to hold tight where I'm at for several months. BLOWS!

Your brother is great! I can't believe he let me borrow his RS6 wheels for a while when I was waiting for a replacement tire. Love his car too. :-)
