Whoa, did anyone catch the Modern Marvels episode on lubricants?

Default Whoa, did anyone catch the Modern Marvels episode on lubricants?
They actually had a working turbine design that allowed the shaft connecting the compressor wheel and turbine wheel to spin free of oil or bearings. Instead of lubricant, the shaft was allowed to spin on a cushion of air. Can you imagine not having to worry about oil temps or maintenance on a turboed engine?
