Why is the "Old style badge" twice the price of a "new style" one? Is it really that

Default run a piece of masking tape across the bottom of the reverse light halfway across the trunk

(Its easier done than said in this case)
only stick the very (left) end of it and try to level the tape across the entire tail lamp area by moving the far right end and then sticking it down...it worked for me and my bodyshop guy. For some reason, my badge was lower than it should be, so we moved it. Also, he had a really cool mini-buffing wheel that he used to get the old adhesive off.

Default Possibly. Lots of people do things that are frowned upon by the forum collective...like eyelids.

Doesn't mean it really matters.

You could put a "Type R" badge on your call for all I care.

Default Limited production runs. Plus, it has a larger volume and flows more air than the new badge.

And don't get me started on the adhesive. I hear that there's a lot more cutting involved in installation of a new badge.
