I saw an S4 and an S3 while I was in Europe for 2 weeks, oh ya and 2 RS4's at the Factory in the parking lot (Green and a black on seperate days!) NICE!!

Just curious as to why we received cheaper seats, is it a US safety thang or what? Just really curious and the tour person couldn't tell me.

It was a little madening to see those great seats and come back to mine (they are nice but aren't like the REAL seats that come in the car)..

Or, perhaps, the cost of fitting Recaros in US-spec models is somehow unjustified by the bean counters. ???? I'd like those Recaros too. : (

Americans in general are fat, compared to the world population. Even Germans with all their Beer and Wursts are in most cases quite fit/skinny people, but they walk alot and even 80+ year old people are walking and riding their bikes, we just sit at our computers or bingo tables.

I think Audi thought that fat american men would not fit in the nice recaros. Only reason I see. But I'm not fat and in decent shape, I want the recaros.

They are really exceptional seats, but thru my research I also didn't see silver interior as an option, thus no silver Recaros available in Europe (wrong or right?))

Also the price thing would make the S3 even cheaper and they have the same standard recaros as the other Audi Sport built cars. S3 (that is a car I would buy as well, quite sharp) but again audi won't bring that over as they would be stepping on their parent company VW's toes as it would compete with the golf.. In fact there were VW bins inside the Audi Factory, quite interesting.

Now with the VW's coming out with the bigger motors attached to their AWD system, what is Audi going to do? Sit on it's *** and do nothing?


I want the seats, don't care about the aluminum uprights, just want the seats!
