Default Why no eurpean delivery program for Audi?

Seems odd that Audi doesn't offer a Euro delivery program. I've been thinking that for my next car that would be a super sweet thing to do. Anyone care to speculate why they don't offer the service?

Exerpt form AoA website:

"Does Audi offer a European Delivery Program?
At the present time, there is no European Delivery Program available for Audi models designed for and sold in North America. European travelers can, however, arrange a tour of the factory in Ingolstadt, Germany. Visit the Audi Forum Inglostadt for more details"

Default that might be fairly easy to arrange but ...

call them EUROPEANS not eur-peeins or eurpeans ---they get testy about that! I would rather tour GMbH anyway....

Default My take:

The demand for such a program probably doesn't justify the infrastructure changes they might need to make in order to accomodate such a program.

Default Yeah maybe, but Porsche, BMW, and Volvo (I'd image others too) have a Euro program...

It sounds like a lot of fun, combine a Euro vacation with delivery of your new S4/RS4/S6/RS6 and spend some quality time on the autobahn. You'd probably see more time over 100MPH in two weeks than the entire time you owned the car in the States. I don't know, just sounds realy appealing to me. Maybe I'll have to switch to a 996 :-)

Default Yeah, that's what warranty is for right? How many RPMs at ~100-120 in 6th gear?

that the real question right? That and boost, I'm not saying that you would beat the $hit out of a new car but a little agressive driving with 2 weeks (2000 mi) would probably be OK eh?

Default i actually wanted this and this is my dealers reason..

audi was finding problems and loss of profit by european delievry after they built the new factory. they found that after the people drove the cars around europe and brought them back to factory, the cars would have lots of damage and found lots of problems with cars after people wouldn't break them in. also.. some people who drove the cars on european delievery would bring them back with many other complaints demanding that they get a different car, wheels, parts etc.. so thats the reasons.. pretty mest up eh?
