I was driving a Tahoe and was right beside the guy, Semi Tire blew off and bounced off the rear passenger side door. Bajeezus did that scare me, it was a boom then a bang. Believe it or not it didn't do any damage to the Tahoe.

Had that happen last year, sounded like a damn SHOTGUN, but I was able to buff off the rubber marks.

As many as 4 round trips daily. 90% of the time the blow out is preceded by some audible warning. Most of the drivers that got nailed by retreads ignored the odd sounds the truck tires were making. If you hear that noise "*whomp* *whomp* *whomp* *whomp* *whomp*", RUN like the wind!

Hope your damage is superficial. Get a look under that bumper.
