Default Cause it's not the same thing.
You can do a lot with VAG COM like datalogging, recoding modules, and other VAG specific stuff.

because the VAG is an emulator of the dealer's tool . The obdtool one is just some cheap scanner.

ODBtools only does emissions. Probably 10% of the capability of vag-com.

Just for the record, the OBDTOOL setup is used WITH VAG-COM )
