why is the sway bar hole so much bigger than the bolt that goes through it?

Default why is the sway bar hole so much bigger than the bolt that goes through it?

just seems like a recipe for clunkage to me. thinking of putting "bushing" in there.

Default last night actually. friend's garage. curbside style. rock crawler friend. smallest jackstands

were like 16" tall on lowest setting. so funny.
