Default nope diff software to begin with, A6 doesnt have as much torque and the curve is different i believe
...probably other significant diffs that im not aware of as well

Default A6 2.7 motor is IDENTICAL to the S4 motor (trq/hp wise).
But that box wont work for other reasons from what I've heard/read.

Default Chip part numbers are different for A6 2.7 and S4
I checked the awe web site and found the giac chip part numbers are different for these two cars. I assume that means the chips/ecus are not 100% compatible. Maybe there is another explaination...

Default I'm sorry - you are incorrect. If anything, the A6 will run stronger becuase of a less
restrictive exhaust.

the reason there is a different ECU is that all the other things the ECU interfaes with OTHER than the engine is different. The ECU does engine management, but otehr things too. it interfaces with the HVAC system, Central Lock, Airbag stuff, antilock stuff, etc

Wrong again! Same engine, same HP and torque in the US.
