Default Will 225/55/17 fit on the S4 without rubbing? Anyone using this size?

I have searched the forums and found some replies but no one using this size. I have a line on getting some winter tires that are in this size but from the sounds of it, they are going to be too tall to fit? Is this the case? Anyone using this size.
Should I pass?

Default Like always, it depends on your suspension setup. I can safely say they'd fit side-to-side but

If your car is at stock height or lower, I'd doubt they'd fit under the wheel well. However, if you have had aftermarket stuff done like a coilover suspension where you can raise your car up during the winter, then I'm sure you'd be able to run that tire.

Default I am stock suspension and stock height

Sounds like they will be too tall to fit in the wheel wells. I might stick the tire against the current wheel/tire to see how much larger they are but it sounds iffy.

Default Careful. May not clear the uprights. No amount of raising gives more clearance there

Sidewall/radius goes up by 0.9".
If you have over an inch above the tire to clear the suspension uprights on the inside of the tire (front and rear), give it a shot.

Looking at my car (stock radius) I kinda doubt it will fit.

Thanks. After rolling the tire next to the current setup, there is NO WAY it would work. Passed

Default That's pretty far off from stock rolling diameter, and will make your car slower by effectively

giving you longer gearing (taller tire=slower acceleration).
