Default Will 235 tires fit on S4?

Does anyone know if 235/40R18 tires (with, say, 18x8.5 rims) will fit OK on a 2001 S4? Will there be any rubbing on the wheel well or other areas during cornering and stuff? I don't want to get 8.5 rims unless there's 235 rubber to protect them from curbs...otherwise I'll get 8 or 7.5 and 225 rubber.

Thanks, Carter.

Default Also consider Bridgestone S03's...

S03's in 225/40 18 are actually wider than Toyo T1-S in 235/40 18 (see link). You get a wider tire with a lower profile. Unless when you wrote you wanted "235 rubber to protect them" you meant a taller profile. In any case, the rim protector on the S03's extend farther than all the tires I've owned: T1-S, SP9000, SP8000, SP5000, RE040, and Pilot Alpin.

See a pic for comparison here.

Default I'm dropped without any problems, cutting of liners, or rolling of fenders. :)
