Will a chip really kill the life od the turbo's?

The basic deal is, they <b>shouldn't</b>, if the turbos are overspeced the way any part going in a vehicle "should" be.
However, if the turbos in the S4 are running at say 95% of rated spec when stock, then yes, a chip <b>could</b> shorten their lives, as could software errors that may "overdrive" the turbos.
In practice, if everyone played by the rules (Audi and the chip makers), turbo life should remain pretty much the same as long as you follow proper cool-down procedures...
