and report the failure? I'm a little disappointed that David Norton didn't reply to <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1719981.phtml">the thread</a> with the failure graph. He claims that he has not heard of any high incidence of S4 clutch failures, so maybe if everyone calls in to report the failure (again), maybe they'll do something about it. Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but one statistic I don't have is how many have reported to Spec that their clutch has failed.

Include the critical details, and if you want to help out others, include the A4 forum as well. I've seen posts (aside from yours) where people hear the familiar "we've never heard of this issue" response from spec. Not sure what all the issues are, but it seems worthwhile to compile some information and present it to them.

With some hard numbers and names, you might be able to convince them that there is something they need to look into. If not that, at least you'll save other people the trouble of dealing with a bum clutch, and send them shopping elsewhere.
