ANy rust? I was under the impression the cold slows any development of rust,

but what about the shiity white stuff that happens to aluminium?

Anyone know?

A dead battery. Just make sure you wash it well, and dry off all the insides of the doors.

Default what makes the aluminum turn spotyy with white calcium gunk and get all gnarly? Ive always wondered?
Is that the cold? O r is it the effect of salt getting up inside the engine areas?

Default it will but the NaCl will accelerate it significantly.
Aluminum corrodes to alumina Al2O3 which is the white stuff you notice. at least it doesn't rust : )
