Default Physically, yes.

but there'll actually be a performance loss. NA engine won't perform as good with less back pressure.

Default How's that?

Every N/A car I've owned has had tangible (Dyno, ET) increases from a freer-flowing exhaust and/or headers. Headers are the ultimate backpressure reducer, and really woke up my LS1 when combined with a cat-back.

Default NA engines may gain some HP but will lose Torque with a freer flowing exhaust

If I had a 2.8 I wouldn't want to lose any torque.

eh, who cares about a lil' lost torque -- if you had a 2.8 you'd lose to everything anyway

Default If an exhaust is vastly oversized there would be a flat spot in low-end torque...

But the OE S4 exhaust is quite conservative in pipe diameter and sound insulation method. I think if it physically fits it'd be an excellent, economical upgrade.

If I had a 2.8 I'd do it (even more so considering I have an entire turbo-back exhaust from my S4 in my garage.)
