I think no big difference, but would like to have more opinion...

Default use some thicker oil if you're tracking the car..
try this..redline 15w-50..

I had problems on about the third lap of a short track in 80 degree weather...

What problems? Oil temp to high? With K03s or K04s? Any problems since with 0w40? TIA

Lifter ticking; oil temp at time was probably only 230-240.
