What clutch are you riding out? I'm riding out my spec stage II currently.. and before that I really rode out stock clutch, LOL.

If it slips too much it can heat up the flywheel and get too many high spots.
It can also do damage if you wear it out too much and the tabs come thru. Same thing as when you run your brake pads too low.

It can slip in any gear. Pretty much RPMs rise but the car doesn't accelerate...
then the RPMs drop back to where they should be. Imagine if you needed to accelerate out of a dangerous situation and the clutch slipped. You'd try to get out of the way, but you wouldn't move.
