I know that it is the metallic window tint where this is more of an issue but I wanted to take a quick poll. Of everyone that has used metallic tint (as opposed to the black dye type) what has been the effect on your AM and AM radio reception. Has anyone tinted with it and not had poor radio reception? I am looking at the Platinum Llumar tint but really can't have my reception effected. Thanx in advance for all the input.

Is that after the tint or just in general? I just don't want it to get any worse.

and am actually thinking of getting XM and mounting it in the back window and see if the signal gets through.

I have Madico Onyx, and I noticed poorer reception.

baiscally if you had stations that used to come in but were really faint, they will not come in any more. but medium to strong stations come in fine. I have 28% metallic. There has to be a way to improve AM, as it is poor from factory.
