Winter driving / ABS question

Scenario:
Snow covered road, S4 with all season tires, relatively low speed - under 20 mph, and the ABS starts kicking in while tring to come to a stop at a light and the car just starts sliding in a straight line failing to stop.
What should (or can) you do to effect a quicker stop?
1. "Push though" the ABS?
2. Release brake and try again?
3. Maintain brake pedal pressure?
4. Floor the gas and blow thru the intersection with mad quattro power?
5. None of the above.

use it as a judgement for your next intersection. if the ABS is banging away and you are still not stopping then adjust your speed approach to intersections for the conditions that prevail.
question for you: did you try to steer to the left or right when this occured?

Seriously though, its pretty simple. Mash on the brakes, if the car starts to slide while stopping, let the cars brains to the right thing. If your car just doesn't have the traction to stop, there's not a damn thing you can do about it. If you know you're going into the intersection, I'd probably do #4 -- better to blow the light in a controlled manner than to stop (and worse, stall) in a panic stop.
Quattro only helps if your wheels are touching the ground.
