Started last night on a drive to Boca Raton (I knew I shouldn't have gone...). :-\

I'm driving around trying to find my friends appt. when I start to have trouble getting my car into second gear. Before long I can't get it to into second at all unless I FORCE it... and that's never good. Once I forced it into second gear, I would have to force it out and then the shifter became 'notchy' even in neutral.

I manage to get to my friends house without 2nd gear, not a big deal, but then I start to have trouble getting the car into first. It will still go into first (with much less effort than second) but it grinds a few times. At first I thought it was my synchros dying on me, but I got to my friends house and had a couple guys who know cars take a look at it. They think it's something with my shifter linkage or that it's a problem with something not lining up correctly. They said it's not the synchros because it was behaving the same way when the car was turned off.


ARGGHHHHH..... Now I'm home, on no sleep, with a busted car.

That is a bad thing. The dog gear and slider are all in 1. so if you grind a shift.. the slider doesn't work anymore!
