Default Yea that was nice...and exactly what it did...

It said it could bring it down to zero which he didn't think it could. Came pretty close though.

fwiw, many racecars run the stubby rubber stems so they don't get sheared in lap 1 exuberance . . .

Default I am also curious about balancing....

I have brand new wheels and tire sitting here, and as soon as the weather gets a little nicer im going to have the tires mounted to the wheels and put them on my car. Does this mean is should have them balanced? Is that when they place the small weights in the wheels? Or is it not needed? Thanks.
The wheels are 18x8.5 BBS CH, and tires are Pzero Neros if it matters :-)

Default doesn't make much sense to me.. that's like driving the car with the new tires for couple miles..

doesn't look like that machine does much in that regard.. i don't what could be adjusted , but only balanced. that seems to be something that tire manufactures should do as a CE.
correct me if i'm wrong.

Default You definitely want them balanced. But its an option to ride match them. I purchased some Michelin.

Pilot Sports and some new rims, and I will have it done this time.

Default absolutely get them balanced

any tire shop can do it and be sure they used the stick on weights and not the clip around ones that will damage the lip of your wheel. I know town fair tire charged my friend $9.99 per wheel to balance his 17" wheels/tires.

Also a friend just had to purchase a new wheel due to hitting a pothole, the shop put the new wheel on the balancing machine alone and as actually surprised that the rim was balanced, but then they mounted the tire and had to put a couple small stick on weights on the inside of the rim to balance it out.

you have very high quality expensive wheels and tires don't cheap out on the balancing it really is important.
