...there's a buttload of electronics to break in cars these days and I'm aware of it. Doesn't mean I wouldn't like Audi to build something that's going to last for 10 years or longer in the car though. My car's nearly 6 years old and started losing lines at least a year ago.

Parts wear out. Nothing lasts forever. Some parts go out sooner and more consistently than others. Some are defectively designed. Unless it poses an unreasonable danger or it violates some common law "warranty of merchantability" (which this cluster doesn't), we just have to suck it up as consumers.

However, would it be wrong for us to bring this to AoA's attention, so that perhaps they will lower the cost of this part? Seems that may be what happened with the ABS modules.
