You probably don't want 255/35/18 tires on an 8" rim (8.5 - 10 width range)

Default nitto website had stats on tires...

and the 255/35's fit the 8 inch rims, yet that was the least width needed. check it out and tell me what you think...

Default i pulled my width range from Toyo T1S and Bridgestone S03 tires...

I guess the Nitto's have a wider range.

If the manufacturer says it'll fit, I don't see any reason to argue with that. As for rubbing, depending on the offset of your wheels, you will have to do some fender rolling to keep from rubbing.

Default 255/35 18's are totally fine on 8 1/2 width rims. The diameter of the 255/35/18

is exactly the same (25"). You will definitely need to roll your front fenders to accomodate this tire size.

PS...we have a fender roller for rent (no wait).

Default Hey Zev, could you email me some prices on some 255/35/17's, along with the rental price

on the fender roller. Is this size doable with SSR Comp's, and do you recommend using a heat gun when you roll the fenders??

Default yeah, you have the inner lip of the fender rolled up...

...many have had this done. I'm not sure if you can run 255/35/18 tires without some amount of fender rolling.

This isn't a big deal as it's just adjusting the inner fender, not the part you see.

Also, I think most folks running 255/35/18 tires are between an ET35 and ET39 offset on their 18x8.5 wheels.

FWIW...
