Would a missaligned shifter cause a clutch to blow?...>>>
Shortly after I installed my toyguy short shifter my clutch went... coincidence or a missaligned shifter?

85k miles on the clutch, bought the car used with 75k miles...>>>
if the shifter goes into gears smoothly when installed, I trust it was installed correctly right?

Shifter type will have no effect on clutch.
The Toy Guy shifter uses modified stock parts and remachines them to eliminate all slop and rubberiness, while reducing throw by 30 to 41 percent depending on **** height reduction.
There is no harm to clutch or transmission reported so far.
