Default Would something like this be sufficient for pressure testing my intake system?

I have this compressor, a more exact valve/gauge attached to it, and all of the part outlined in the AWE pressure testor PDF file. Will this work and, if so, how do I go about testing the system (I know its pretty straight-forward, but this is the first time I am going to be trying this, so I would like to know if there is anything I should know about before attempting it)? If this compressor isn't good enough, what should I pick up instead? Thanks in advance for your help.

Craftsman 150 psi Compact Air Compressor

Default Use the setup AWE has on their site.

Also, make sure you tighten the living **** out of the 3" rubber clamp that goes where the accordian tube comes off. I thought I had it tight and it came off at about 10,000 MPH and sounded like a gunshot (plus it broke the little plastic bracket that hold the O2 sensor clips). Shouldn't need to go much past 10 psi. BTW, you can get all the stuff AWE advertises from Home Depot.

Default I think you missed the question; I already have all of the parts outlined by AWE for the adapter...

my question is whether the compressor I have is sufficient. Thanks.

You only need 10 psi, so that should be fine. IIRC people have used bicycle pumps.

Default My question was more about it's capacity than the psi (obviously it can push 10psi).

Should 1.5 gallons be enough air to test the system?

Do you mean the regulator on the compressor itself, or the more accurate one I bought seperately?

Default Absolutely. You'll see it'll come up pretty fast. Especially if you keep

100 or so psi in the tank and bring up the reg real slow. First time I did it I went all the way to 15 which from what I hear is too much. Be prepared for the car to make some weird gurgling noises as you do this as well.
