Depends on the condition of the Volks. If it were me, I'd buy both. ;-)

Default there is an a6 guy selling 1 month old 17"ssr comps for $1000 + shipping
he posted in the wheel forum also.

I don't think so....SSR Comp's are 8.5" wide; Volk's are like 7.5" wide.

Can't speak for the SSR 18s but the Volk18s will have absolutely no rubbing & no clearance problems.
