Default WTB S4, What's the highest mileage to consider?

I've looked at S4s' with mileage between 30K and 60K miles. Obviously I'd like to get one with low miles at the best price possible. What's a good mileage to stay under?

Default I wouldn't say there is any significant difference.

I would choose a car based on it's maintenance history. Bear in mind, between 60K and 80K you'll probably want to get the timing belt service done. Parts and labor will put you around $1K.

Best thing to do is to review the maintenance, and have the car checked out by an independent mech. to verify it's condition, and buy accordingly.

Personally, I would gladly buy a car with 90K miles on it, if I had the full service history, religious oil changes with synthetic, and I knew what parts were replace, and what maintenance items haven't been done but might need to be done shortly (so I could factor everything into the price accordingly).

Default Honestly, go with the car that had its turbos recently replaced, even if it has 100k on it...

That will be the most reliable. Timing belt/water pump replacement is another consideration. Internally the S4 engine is as good as any other engine, period.

Condition is always key... if it looks clean and well cared for it usually is.

Default Thread jack: Mike, do you have MSN or AIM?

I got into the turbo group buy for a set of tribrids and I'd like to tap your experience a bit.

Thanks!
