My mintex sensors had lots of false alarms, I ended up cutting off the plug and soldering the wires.

No tracking, just some aggressive winter driving this year.

Default It was the "brake pads worn" (O) light that came on.

Again, the pads/rotors have less than 10k mile on them so if figured something was up. The dealer changed the fluid back in October therefore it should have been ok. Nevertheless, it was the easiest place to start. I was surprised by how little fluid I needed to add but it was enough to turn the dummy light off.

Default They melt in high heat. Where are you?

I've seen people go through a fresh set of Reds in 2 sessions at a track event, while I can do a couple of 2-day eevnts, plus drive in-between, on a set of stock pads.

Default Got me....

I'm not possitive how they'll work on the S4, but a couple of guys with A4s and Boxter brake kits were swapping pads by lunch time last summer. I've had a set for a while but have been hesitant to throw them on. They're fine for street use.

Default The are CHEAP and also have sensors is my guess.

i liked the stockers better except the stockers got noisy after periods of stop and go traffic...

my mintex like to vibrate badly if braking hard from high speeds (yes i've tried bedding them a few different times and a few different ways)...normal driving though...i'd have to say not many complaints, though i do like the "feel" of the stockers better...i like that progressive feeling i guess(no one else who drove the didn't brake too hard upon first application! ahhaha).

Default Probably a connection issue, but there were a batch on Mintex pads that had an issue.

I recently changed pads and rotors and stuck with Mintex, as I had used them for around 40k.

After bedding the pads, the rear pad material was...gone! There was nothing left, so I switched back to my older set of rears (again, Mintex). And called ECS.

They took care of everything, and indicated that there had been an issue with some Mintex pads. they sent out new pads and rotors. This only happened at the rear.

I'd check them now, to ensure you don't damage the rotors.
