Maybe this is someones idea of a joke at VAG-COM. Damn renegade programmers. There is NO way your ECU would post that kind of data... would it??

I assume, from my limited knowledge of engine management systems, that the code is 'correct' but the programmer of VAG-COM added this 'touch' to scare the driver.

Exactly what is it you -WERE- doing to cause tha clunk?

Default I'm guessing a full throttle powershift from 3rd back into 2nd *OOPS!*
but Toasty has a tip so I guess I can toss that scenerio out the window.
