the software says it's not plugged into car... Damn it!!!

try swapping serial cables, had mine crap out last week, also check the com settings

Default It's a USB...
It worked last night and now the software tells me it's not plugged in... what an crappy night... nothing is working for me today!!! FVCK

Default Have you tried any other USB devices on that port?
The port itself is powered but it might not be communicating with the PC and a reboot might resolve it. If other devices work, then maybe try reinstalling VAG-COM.

Have you posted to the VAG-COM forum?
