Heehee, I think he was feelin' sassy, Christmas Eve and all, nice night, cool and rainy, he rounds the corner from the arterial to the on-ramp rather quickly with me right behind and get's on it hard right away as he straightens out, I'm in second gear, car warmed up, oil temperature 205, ready to go.

I suspect he was expecting my Xenons to fade rather quickly in his rear view mirror as would be the case with many cars as he floored the throttle, but not tonight, I'm ready and I push the pedal to the floor right with him. He's pulling hard and I'm staying right with him up the ramp, no wait, I'm pulling on him, pretty well as a matter of fact as his rear bumper gradually looms closer and closer! Bettered back off a bit or I'll be right on his ***!

Back off and catch third with a quick shift at something around 50 mph, he's backing off too as we merge into traffic, and slows down to let me up along side, probably wondering what the hell just pulled on him all the way up that on-ramp. I glide by on my merry way with a wave as he get's a good look at my rear badge, and then we cruise together for a while until I reached my exit and pull off.

Heehee, that was fun, reeled him in all the way up the on ramp, don't get many opportunities like that for such a merry and safe bout, pretty cool to be able to pull on him in my little yellow wagon, Merry Christmas buddy, nice car! Perhaps I cannot hang with the E46 M3, but the E36 M3 seems no big deal for acceleration, wonder if his was an automatic?
