Default ouch....no wonder clairparts had coilpacks listed...is this a new problem now that the cars are

getting older? exclusive to 1.8s?

Default Never had any problems with the coilpacks on my old '97 A4...

...seems like the problem is happening at an alarming rate on the '02 A4's.

Default I believe even the late model B5's were experiencing coilpack issues...

...I believe James R. went through quite a saga with his coilpacks. I believe the guys over on the B6 A4 Forum even put together a poll and gathered all sorts of statistics on the failures. Audi must have changed suppliers/design at some point because the earlier A4's never seemed to have any issues with the coilpacks.

Default when my BOSCH seatbelt sensors died within weeks...

I was told that was perfectly normal and sometimes they fail while the car is being rolled off the trailer.

Seriously, they make some crappy electronics...especially spark plugs.
