I've got a '98.5 A4, and am awaiting arrival of an '01 S4 Santorin/Silver. Getting on PA Tpk earlier this month - but backed up at toll booth for 45 min due to car fire. When I got to the booth, no tickets being dispensed - attendant advised I move up and get one before entering Tpk. Wouldn't you know it - no one there - so I get on, then off in King of Prussia - where I'm "charged" $12.75 for a "lost ticket" - toll is normally $0.85. I explain situation and offer $0.85, but he refuses and reports me to PA State Police, who call me the next day. I explain, but he doubts my story - then demands to meet me at toll booth at 10PM upon which he absolutely intimidates me to the point where I'm fearing his next move. Especially when he takes me "out back" to "discuss" the issue, and calls me a liar, etc. At this point he writes me a ticket for $185 (!!) for toll evasion, and I keep my mouth shut fearing his next move. At this point, I'm so damn pissed that I just send in the G-damn $$ (along with the $12.75 for the "toll") just to get this all behind me. I'm glad the PA State Police is out fighting real crime like this. Hope the cop (around 6' 4'') feels important having intimidated a 5'7'' squirt like me. He succeeded!

Ever feel like you were in Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant?" For those of you who might not recall - he was threatened with jail time for littering! I do!

I'm sure they'll "profile" me when my S4 comes in!!
