Default Yes. Xylene is actually better! It's 117 octane vs 114 of Toluene.

I've used it a number of times.

It won't make your Subie any prettier though. :-P

Default I've heard this too...however it started last weekend no problem in 20* Minnesota weather (~25% mix)

Maybe I was lucky. YMMV.

Thanks for the info Eric. Do you have an opinion on Xylene/Toluene's effects on the fuel system?

Thanks. Yep, I've mixed in a dash of ATF too.

Default thanks peeps. i am having trouble locating Toluene in quantities...

greater than 8 ounces. and the places which sell race gas are almost 2 hours drive for me.

but i found a source of Xylene in larger quantities.

still looking for Toluene however.

thanks again.

How much ATF would you add to a tank?

Default Sherwin Williams near me has both Toluene and Xylene for $8.50 a gallon...

however, when I buy more than 4 gallons at a time, they always think I'm running a meth lab or something. :-)
