Default 2002 underhood sticker says 105,000 miles, maintenance manual says 90k. I called AoA for clarifica-

tion and they said to go with the 105k change interval. I specifically stated that I wanted to know what change interval would keep my warranty valid, and they said 105k. Now I may have the sources tranposed (underhood could say 90k and book says 105k; but there is def. a discrepancy between the two). I did NOT receive the revised '02 manuals from my dealer, they just wrote a note in my book about the 5k 1st service being not needed, etc. Audi appears confused about several things!

Default Has anyone had one break while under the Audi Assured Warranty? i.e., after 50k but before your

manual's stated change interval? Would be interesting to know if dealer or Audi gave you any crap about the extended interval when it was on their nickel to cover the repair bill.

Default I guess it comes down to - do you want to pay $1000 one extra time

to do the belt/tensioner/idler even at half the recommended time, or pay $12k for a new engine+turbos. I know I know, the cost would likely be less than half of that to fix the existing, it depends on how bad things get.
