Default Are Zimmerman rotors and Brembo rotors one in the same?more inside...

I need some new brakes (pads AND rotors) and am a bit overwhelmed by the extraneous information on the net. Are Zimmerman rotors OEM? Are they the same as Brembo rotors? Why are there so many differences in price acrossed the internet Ebay/ECS/Achtining all have different prices for what appears to be the same product? I plan on purchasing rotors this coming week - please advise!!!

Default I am about to take my Zimmerman cross drilled off my car ...

to put on my Stasis 14" floaters. Do you want the Zimmermans? I will give them to you cheap and they have only 11,000 miles on them.

Default Zimmerman and Brembo are both top quality Germany disk manufacturers...

We sell both Brembo and Zimmerman rotors here and have never had any complaints. They are definitely better rotors than most other brands (read: cheap aftermarket Japanese brands).
If you are interested in rotors/pads, please e-mail me for pricing.

Default Don't know if they are the same exact part, but I know that Zimm is OEM qualified...

which means they can supply factory parts. But the rotors on your car that were installed at the factory may not be Zimmerman rotors. There are usually at least 2 suppliers for every part on the car. Hopefully someone will be able to answer this with some certainty, but both the Zimm and Brembo are decent quality. Pricing does seem to vary widely for even the exact same parts via web parts houses. Also be sure to factor in shipping when calculating the best deal. Some places charge low for part but get you with high shipping - others ship for free above certain dollar amounts!

Default i'll likely go with zimmerman plain rotors on my fronts in the spring...

they are a company who has been around for a while, well known and no known issues...
they may or may not be OEM supplier but they sure make a decent OEM sized replacement...
fwiw, brembo is an OEM brakes supplier (both rotors and calipers) on many makes as well.
personally i'd skip non named "OEM" rotors (because you don't know who made them)....
