$3k is nice. I was originally shooting for $4-$5k off a 2013 and the dealer wouldn't go any more than $1k. Obviously, we were way off base from each other. But, the problem being is that I searched the entire dealer database and couldn't find a single car with the color and options we wanted. Then, another dealer offered $2k off a 2014. I went back to the original dealer and said I could get more off a 2014 then they were giving me off a 2013. Still wouldn't budge and they suggested that I should definitely buy it from the other dealer. I then went to a 3rd dealer who wouldn't move past sticker on a 2014. I gave up the hunt then and just settled for $2k off sticker.
What's the Mercedes promotion? Does it apply to other luxury brands? Do you have to trade the car or just own it? We won't be trading anything in, just giving the Mrs. something to drive when she doesn't need the behemoth SUV...

Yes, that was the joke I was (poorly) attempting to make: the cars are transported with shipping blocks in the suspension. As the car in the pic is clearly pre-prep, they haven't been removed. It just seems every time someone posts a pic of a pre-prep car (in any of the myriad forums I frequent), someone chimes in with the "Oh my gosh, that car needs to be lowered 2", it looks horrible, must handle like a Ford Bronco II/Suzuki Samurai" etc.

Well, with the order guide here, I still have two dealers bickering on delivery. Dealer A is telling me end of July, beginning of August (unless we go with audi exclusive and pick a paint out of range, then he said it could be a long wait...). Dealer B is telling me end of year. Eesh.

I should probably give dealer A props. I feel like they treated us well, were never pushy and delivered what they promised in a timely and professional manner...Dealer A = Audi of Brookline
