Default APR tune questions

Hello fellow s6'ers, how are you all doing ?

I have a few questions regarding those of you who have already tuned your s6 using apr's glorious mod.

How are the cars performing? is the difference significant or is it barely noticeable ? from a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being not noticeable at all and 10 being a kick in the nuts noticeable.. what would you give it ?

As some of you may know, a few months back I tuned my baby using pp-performance's mod, not really known in the states, they claimed to have it up to 600hp, and I believed them, then when I started driving my car, it wasn't noticeable, so I kept lying to myself, but now I had it, I don't think my car makes more than 500hp.

So modders out there, please take your time and if you can, give me a deep review of how the car is, what are the pros and cons ( if there are any .

Thanks in advance guys

I think anyone getting a tune should seriously consider getting a baseline dyno first. This way you can be sure of the before and after results and what you're getting.

Didnt baseline my car, but the difference is significant. I matched their numbers on my pbox (see posts by me).

I personally dont feel the car stock has more than 420HP like some people do, so I dont quote their 560HP figure. But it definately has 80-100 more HP than stock now.

Havent had the chance to play with my pbox more but once I get to the track ill be posting numbers and I'll even switch back to the stock map so show the delta.

I wish the car came with this power stock.

The 3.6 second to 60, was it using launch control ?

Default If you did the APR tune...

What made you choose it over waiting for the Stasis tune?

Was it just that it was available first?

If you're waiting for Stasis, is it just because of the warranty?

Has Stasis said they will be doing a tune? Has anyone had an APR tune go wrong? Or have a mechanical due to the tune? I still haven't seen that yet?

Honestly because it was available and I needed power =) Either way you'll be getting flagged with TD1. I appreciate what Stasis does but honestly i do not expect drivetrain issues so i'll take the risk.

I had put 30K + on my GT-R with upgrades and never had an issue. It really comes down on what you're willing to risk, and luck. I think APR wouldnt willingly push the envelope beyond what would be considered safe design just to make a few sales, especially since the S6 market is small and probably not very profitable.

As an FYI, I just had my ECU scanned today to see if APR has software for it. Apparently mine is version 4 software and APR has version 1 or 2. Looks like I'm waiting...
