Default Audi Connect / T-Mobile $450/36 month ends 1/18/2013

In case anyone who just took delivery of a vehicle with Audi Connect within the last 7 days; I just got word from the dealer / T-Mobile, the promo will end on Jan 17/18th. Essentially, anyone with this promo will be paying $12.50/mo for the next 36 months instead of the the $30/mo after the 6 months trial period. Caveat - promo must be signed up within 7 days of delivery.

I am aware of the pay as you go SIM option but it won't be streaming data all the time. With this T-Mobile package, you will have seamless 3G + hotspot features. Not sure whether there is throttling of bandwidth by T-Mobile after a certain level of data usage. I will defer additional thoughts/opinions to the existing wisdom here.

Hope this helps!

I have not been impressed with the Google Maps integration on this car, it is really slow and choppy especially on zoom in/out. I've disabled it and like the simple maps which work well.

Interesting. You're the first person Ive heard really complain about it. I have delivered many cars with it and shown it to the customers and its fluid and fast. Of course upon first rendering/download it does take a little bit depending on satelite view. However, when Im using it while driving and just watching the map I never see any hiccups.

I've been happy with it (for the week I've had it) and took advantage of the $450 deal. When you amortize that cost (the functionality that comes with it) vs the total cost of the car, it's a slam dunk.

Since you're in the business, I will be the last to disagree with your data. The only reason why I said the 17th came from an email from T-Mobile sent to the dealer sales guy just yesterday. Saw the date mentioned on the email when I went in to sign up for the $450 deal. Looks like time is running out.

Wonder why T-Mobile did not want to continue with the promo.

I called the national t-mo rep and she said that the promo ends 7 days from the Jan 4th end date. If they extended it another week I didnt hear about it. I can only go on what I was told from the horses mouth.

Bummer for those of us with cars slated for march delivery. Hopefully they will come up additional promos.

I've only had the car a day, but I feel the google integration is very smooth and quick. Overall i think Audi did a great job on the MMI in this car.

I was just on the phone with the t-mobile rep via A8 line. Yes working on Sunday LOL. I have to call the dealer tomorrow as only the Audi dealer can do the needed paperwork.

It just is a shame the dealer did not push this deal at the time. Hiding it???
