The biggest factor for me is that my engine temp doesnt warm up practically until Im a couple miles from work(10 mile commute). So Im in 8cyl mode the whole time while stuck in traffic.

I cannot complain anymore for having an average of 17mpg since picking up the car then.
Where on the dash can you actually see that cylinder deactivation has occurred? The efficiency program always is barely above the bottom. Is thee a symbol or something on the dash readout that clearly indicates 4 cylinder is activated?

Drove 60 miles today and average 23mpg. I used cruise the whole way at 72.5mph and it was all highway. I always have AC on as I don't using non conditioned air. In Jersey anytime I've done that it seems to gunk the windows up quicker. Also have heated seat on setting two and heated steering wheel on.

In the efficiency mode, the silver bar that shows your current mpg will change to green when in 4cyl mode.

That could be bad, every time I look at that it is green. I will try it all the way home from Philly today to see what it does. It shows my heated seat on, heated steering wheel and the line is green. Is it the same screen that looks like its in fractional numbers on the bottom?

Ok then it's not that screen, it's the other one lol. I'm not in my car so I can't see which one but you will know when you click the right one.

I figured it out. Its in the onboard computer screen. Scrolled down in that menu and found it and driving back from Philly at 72.5mph I averaged 25mpg and the cod line was green most of the way!!

Default torque/horsepower graph

Not only is the document DeerHunter included the best detailed description of the S6 I've ever read, but in the S6 technical gallery here:

http://www.fourtitude.com/gallery/ga...C7)/Technical#

It shows the torque/horsepower graph that I'd never seen previously.
