C63 amg to 2013 S6???
First post here.
I am a proud owner of C63 amg coupe but time has come for a 4 door sedan. Looking at S6 for its some power, 4wd, looks, and technology. It pretty much is a perfect balance of all as i am not going to the track anymore.
Anyone made this move?
Going tomorrow for a test drive and don't know what to expect as i never owned an audi.
Any input would be appreciated.

Based on this ^^, I'd say you'll thoroughly enjoy the move to an S6. The sport diff noticeably helps to rotate the car to minimize the understeer inherent in Audi vehicles.
You'll find the exhaust sound tame compared to the C63 but that can be remedied by an aftermarket exhaust if it's too quiet for you.

Well the ability to have traction will make a huge difference not to mention a much smoother ride, as far as the exhaust you can get any sound you want with an after market exhaust. As far as performance with a tune this car eats c63's I have done a quarter mile with a few and it really wasn't fair for them. You will also find the car doesn't drive as large as the car is the adaptive suspension makes a nigh and day difference.
Test drive it. And remember with a tune you can get 60-100 extra awhp from just a tune..

What tune and exhaust are you guys using as i wont keep it stock for a long time
And yes exhaust note from c63 will be very much missed..
How safe are these tunes? My c63 is tuned but not to the maximum...

I had an M3 a couple of cars ago and I just got the S6 last week in Germany and while the character of the C63 and M3 are somewhat different I look at them as "brothers from a different mother." I can vouch for the easy nature of the S6. I was considering a C63 before pulling the trigger on the S6 because of the horsepower, exhaust note and sleeper qualities...
My problem with the M3 was putting the power down in weather, the firmness of the suspension jittery ride on the local roads and the daily ease of use. It was (and is) and amazing car. Even so, power is only relevant if you can use it, direct it and control it.
The S6 is absolutely stellar. The ride is firm yet compliant (with the ride controls as well). The interior is lights-out, it has a great driving position, handles well and feels planted at speed while utilizing incredible power on demand and most importantly, regardless of the conditions. It's an everyday supercar in my opinion; a hell of an engineering feat.
I agree with the other guys about the exhaust note, you'll be able to tinker with that easily enough. Congratulations on your choice -- I think you'll be really pleased.
