I need to be able to disable the ability to lock the doors from the rear. My kid likes to kick the lock button which locks all the doors. The child safety locks only prevent him unlocking, you can still lock the car. Saw many threads on this with not many solutions. Anyone know if this can be done with VAG before I take the door panel off and start cutting wires to my door locks? TIA.

In all seriousness, how can Audi not have this functionality available? This has been beaten to death in previous threads, I'm floored that this isn't available even on VAG?

Also every time I press a child safety lock button, it resets every time I start the car. How does this feature not have a persistent always on option? Makes me wonder what's their line of thinking in Germany.

My child locks stay set through cars restarts.

My 2018 also keeps the 2 little switches with picture of boys lit. Still don't know exactly what they do, but was disappointed not being able to lock the windows instead; don't have any children anymore. Was also surprised to see lock switches on the rear doors, but no unlock. In fact, there shouldn't be neither, but whatever. Need to play with the car, and see if engaging those 'child locks' prevent the door from opening from the outside, or just the inside.
