Hey quick question to all...
I've often used Lucas 10020 fuel treatment in my cars. Recently though I was reading up that in some cases depending on the car & other factors, some of this stuff is just a total waste of effort, and is similar to using nothing in your fuel.
I was hoping that some of the experts could comment, on what fuel additive is best to use, how often, etc. aside from cost is there any down side to using these additives?

Fuel additives are overrated, IMO. Being a son of a gas station owner and working for my old man most of my youth, I'll say that gas is gas since all gasoline come from the same refinery depending on the region. These days, every brand has their own additive, which makes it their "own brand". Go with a top tier gasoline (heck, even Arco is "top tier" these days) and more importantly, fill up at a gas station with a lot of traffic. If you want to go one step further, find a gas station that checks their fuel quality and dispenser function on a regular basis. Costco in my neighborhood has/does both of these things. Nothing like stale gasoline sitting stagnant in a tank!
