I nixed it for my S6 (and my wife's TT roadster)because it's unlikely we'll hit the milage within the 12 mo time frames.

To clarify, AC states you must bring the car in for the scheduled maintenance intervals either by the stated mileage intervals or every 12 months, whichever comes first. Most auto manf., including Audi, recommend that oil changes and other maintenance should be done at least every 12 months regardless of miles driven. While some may disagree, some owners even believe that you should change oil and filters every 5000 miles despite the service manual's guidance. Admittedly, that may be more than necessary, however, driving conditions can play a role in choosing to do it that often.

Even with my wife's 2002 allroad, I never go longer than 12 months between standard services even though she never exceeds 5K miles a year.

I am one of those creeps that likes to change every 5K. I purchased AC for my S6 mainly to cover the DSG service.

I do the intermediary oil changes myself. With my S4 it seemed to be happier with the 5K intervals.

I'll probably forgo Audi Care on my S6 for the following reasons;

1. The S6 will be tuned (no TD1).
2. I've never used it with my S4 as I go to a very competent independent shop that's located conveniently to home/work (with drop-off service). I've also never used it due to reason 1 (after the free 5K service when I lived closer to an Audi dealership).
3. I have ~9 months left on my 3 year lease, and I'm only at 15K miles. It's easier to just get oil changes performed at the independent shop.

For those who may be on the fence about getting AudiCare: just checked the maintenance schedule for the S6. Both an S-tronic fluid/filter change AND a set of plugs are due at 35k. I'm guessing that's a $1k service right there (or maybe $200 if you do it yourself). To me, that seems to make AudiCare worth it.
