Hi folks. After much waiting and delays, my S6 arrived at the dealership yesterday after some minor delays with the East Coast port workers issue and supply of the carbon fiber trim at the factory. Original arrival to dealer dates were changed from Dec 14th to Dec 21st and now January 2nd.
The service department are planning to take pics of the car with the 20" Summer tires before swapping for the 19" Audi Winter wheel/tire package.
As the car is being PDI'ed right now by the service department, is there anything I should make sure they check for before delivery?
Will take more pics once I have it in my hands this Saturday and change my forum signature bar soon. Can't wait ....

In less than 24 hours, I will have my lead foot on my S6 which brings up my next question. In past posts, I read many of you are resisting from revving the tach and waiting for the 1,000 or 1,200 miles before going all out.
My service department assured me that Audi has already broken in their S cars and I don't have be to too conservative or wait till 1,000 miles. He suggested waiting till after 500 miles.
The reason why I am asking is my car already has 50 miles on the odometer and I don't usually see that many miles before delivery. The response I got was Audi "tracks" the car to check everything is working as designed including testing on dyno. Non S cars usually has 10-20 miles.
Logical? What was your odometer upon delivery?

Sitting in the mall waiting for wife to do her errands and thinking about my S6 hoping no one dings the car door. Tried to find a parking spot far far away but for whatever reason, the mall is busy like people have nowhere to go on this cold night.
Took delivery of the S6 middle of this afternoon. Immediately replaced carpet mats with WeatherTech mats and installed trunk liner. Looks sharp. Audi's Winter wheel and tire package was swapped by the dealer. Not too crazy with the 12 spoke design as it hides too much of the massive front rotors. Oh well!
BTW, odometer showed 27 miles vs the 50 I saw on a faxed purchase order and on the title. Apparently the dealer just plucked a round number to fill in the blanks on the forms. I can live with 27 miles.
Did I say I love how quietly fast this baby can move!!!!
Brightness of HUD was reduced by half with my polarized Maui Jim shades .... but acceptable.
My baby is home and I can't wait to fly.

I'm also interested to hear if we need to "baby" our S6's after getting them -- just found out today my paperwork is all filed through AoA for my S6 on order which I will pick up in Ingolstadt beginning of April and I plan to hit the Autobahn + Nurburgring as I take it back to The Netherlands for drop-off.
