I just bought a 2017 Audi S6 after owning a 2014 S5.
I know California requires for all audis to come equipped with the front plate bracket. I have a question, does anyone know if there is a way to take the plate bracket off? I know the plate mount comes off but then there is a bracket that has 4 holes in it. Is there a solution to this problem? I would appreciate any feedback and help!
Non CA models have the front plate delete option - which means the grill does not have the plastic mounting mould you are referring to.
I think its an option with that entire front grill piece - but when ordering you have to select one or the other.
given its a CA car, you "need" it...
I have it on mine and after having bought a S4 without it, got a fix it ticket twice and fines to boot - then I had to buy the 300.00 front grill part - I was sure that this time my S6 had it.
Its a total eye sore and detracts from the car's features but saves SO much hassle from PD on a power trip.
At least that my experience with it. Other with far more knowledge can correct me.
And btw... Super nice car you have there by the look if it!
