Thats a huge increase without any additional hardware changes. I would think at a minimum exhaust work is required for flow. I'm sure a few pulls at this power level you are heat soaking no matter what.
But hey, let us know how it holds up. Also, ask if they see any weak points in the plumbing, any particular hoses that are susceptible to boost leaks due to the higher pressures.

It is stunning to me to see how a tune could take a 420hp engine and push 550s, perhaps 600s. Considering the engine is 4.0 liters (read: tiny) and efficient as heck, this platform has to be the best in the biz.
And this is version 1.0.
Audi has something amazing here.

It depends how it was tuned. If the software is looking for maximum boost all the way to redline, then yes your observation would be correct. It's also possible that the tuner was being conservative and reduced the boost at the top end.
The only way to find out would be to log the requested vs actual boost -- things that will be disseminated in time....

Of course, it could be other factors, like running out of injector capacity. As you say, more information is needed.
