Rev Match on Downshift?
Believe it or not, I didn't test drive the S6 before ordering one so I don't know the answer to this: does the S-tronic do any rev-matching on downshifts in any of the modes? If so, is it ain all modes, or just Dynamic, or just when using paddle shifters, etc?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I was in the same boat as you. The first time I drove an S6 was when I took delivery of my car.
It's supposed to do rev matching when downshifting, but it's really hard to know for sure because: a) the transmission shifts so quickly it's hard to tell whether the ECU is blipping the throttle or the revs are just increasing when the clutch is engaged; and b) it's a very close-ratio gearbox, so there's not a large increase in revs when downshifting.
In Dynamic mode, the car will shift to first as you're coasting to a stop. This can feel a bit clunky sometimes, which makes me believe that the rev matching algorithm, if it exists, requires a bit of smoothing out.

I didn't either. Probably a lot of people didn't. Drove an A6 several times, and a few others. But I read every review I could find and watched a ton of videos. Not one had anything bad to say a bout the car. I also didn't hear the B&O before spending almost six grand on that option.
I did check out both seat options before deciding to stick with the sport seats. And spent a long time looking at paint colors.
Somehow I don't think I'll be disappointed. A little concerned about lag people mention, but if it's a real issue assume a software update will come along. And the A6 had no troublesome lag, especially compared to 4 cylinder turbos.
In about a month, I'll know. If I'm wrong, I'll just have to shoot myself.

This is my first turbo vehicle, coming from performance cars with NA engines. I don't really notice much lag beyond a very slight hesitation when accelerating moderately from a slow roll: Not really a problem worth mentioning. From the feel, you can definitely tell this isn't a traditional automatic tranny with a torque converter, however.
My first 1k miles is almost up, so I am looking forward to beating on the car a little.

Word is APR is working on a DSG Tranny tune.
Not 100% sure it will be for the bigger motor cars too, but the VW and smaller motor audi crowd is going to get it.
could. be. huge.
