Default S6 Break~In Period

All. I’m about to pull the trigger in a new S6. The only issue on this one is that it has almost 200 miles on it from being at the dealership. The car build date is feb 2018.

Can fill me in on the break in period dor these cars and what Audi recommends for top speed and top rpm during this stage? I am assuming the worst that it has been driven between dealerships by some kid who redlined it the entire time although I doubt that is true.

Any concerns with purchasing a new car with this many miles on it?

You should be fine.

Audi don’t give any recommendations regarding break in periods or driving style.

That is not true, Audi gives some very specific recommendations for initial break-in. It is defined very clearly in the owners manual.

This was my understanding as well - hence the question.

You can find an online copy of the owners manual to look at.

or if you know the VIN

Thank you. This is helpful. So I guess it should be fine. As long as you’re not driving at over 100mph and gunning it then the car should be ok.
